On View
from November through December 2026
at the Hostetter Art Gallery
human scale is an intimate look into designer Joseph Napolitano’s process, tracing the evolution of ideas from their inception. Bringing together a collection of drawings and scale models, the exhibition reveals the journey through which unimagined possibilities are transformed into reality.
Spanning theatrical productions, architectural installations, and built environments, each artifact documents a moment of inquiry, experimentation, revision, and discovery, demonstrating that design emerges not from a singular gesture but through iteration. Detailed models, drawings, and studies examine human scale not only as a technical condition, but as something more.
By revealing the progression from concept to construction, the exhibition invites viewers to ask how ideas become spaces, performances, and environments that shape the way we experience the world.
